Priyanka Shekhar

Priyanka S is a Research Assistant in Consciousness Studies Programme, working on project titled – “A study of consciousness measures and synchrony between Brain and Cardiovascular Dynamics in Yoga Experience” funded by Govt. of India under the SATYAM (Science and Technology for Yoga Meditation) scheme.

Her research interest lies is in Clinical psychology, Cognitive and Neuropsychology.

She Completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology from Kasturba Medical College, MAHE, She comes with a wide range of work exposure from interning with Wenlock District Hospital, Mangalore, Orchid International School, Nasik.

She participated in the workshop on “Application of Mindfulness based cognitive therapies in clinical setting”, “Awareness of Mental Health in workplace”, Art therapy symposium”, “Dementia awareness program, discussing the clinical features and management”, and Exner’s Comprehensive System. Attended 2-day training program on Transactional Analysis and Neurolinguistic Program.

Other than research, She also work with students and professionals struggling anxiety, stress and other mental illness providing counselling, cognitive behavior therapy and psychotherapies. She is also a GBC member in British Psychological Society.

She is a keen observer, empathetic and enjoy writing eulogies.
